Mr. Peters received his undergraduate degree from Lebanon Valley College in Annville, PA earning enough credits equivalent to two Bachelor of Arts degrees, triple-majoring in History, Philosophy and Religion.  While studying at LVC Mr. Peters spent a semester abroad in England and graduated Cum Laude, with an additional Departmental Honors citation for his independent thesis work in religion.

Mr. Peters continued his studies of Religion at Columbia University where he earned his Masters Degree in one year.

Following Columbia, Mr. Peters continued his studies at Jersey City University where he received graduate credits in education while earning his teaching license in NJ.

In addition to being licensed in NJ and NC Mr. Peters has provisional teaching licenses in DE and FL and an international license in TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language).


Mr. Peters began his teaching career at his old high school in NJ teaching US History.  After earning tenure he took a one-year sabbatical to teach English in South Korea.  Loving the program so much Mr. Peters quit his tenured position and spent the next seven years teaching abroad.  Most of his time was spent in South Korea teaching students of all ages with most of his experience teaching at the collegiate level at Soon Chun Hyang University in Asan.  He also spent a small period of time teaching on the island of Kos in Greece at a private English institute.

Mr. Peters has been with OPS since 2015 where he has taught World History, Success Seminar, US History I, US History II, and AP World History.  He has been the Varsity Soccer Coach and currently works with the Model UN Club.
