Clayton Ramsey started at Virginia Tech in Electrical Engineering but changed majors and earned a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies. This is a liberal arts degree focused on solving major problems by using the strengths and insights of different academic disciplines. As part of this degree program he completed a concentration in Arts and Humanities and minors in Mathematics and Psychology.

He is currently working on a Master of Statistics degree from NC State.


This is Clayton's fourth year at OPS. His current courses are Math 3, Engineering I and II, and Physics.

He assists with the Game Club and sponsors the Computer Programming Club.


Clayton is a native of Western North Carolina and enjoys hiking, living history activities, board gaming, and speculative fiction. He is excited to be part of a school that has so much to offer the students of the region and is looking forward to another year.
