At the March meeting of the Oxford Preparatory School Board of Directors, the board approved a new curriculum adoption plan for Eureka Math (all grades) and Wit & Wisdom (8th grade and below) to begin in the 2018 - 2019 school year.  This plan was approved after a thorough review by OPS school administration and faculty, in alignment with OPS School Improvement Plan's goal "plan and train instructors to implement a vertically-integrated core curriculum."

"Eureka Math—also known as EngageNY—is a complete, PreK through 12 curriculum that carefully sequences the mathematical progressions into expertly crafted modules.  Eureka Math connects math to the real world in ways that take the fear out of math and build student confidence—helping students achieve true understanding lesson by lesson and year after year."  To learn more about Eureka Math and view the parent video, refer to the the Eureka Math Parent Page.

"From Great Minds, the non-profit that created Eureka Math, is a K—8 English curriculum that brings the rich content everyone loves into your child's classroom. Wit & Wisdom helps your student meet the expectations of the new standards while celebrating the joy of reading and writing." While OPS ELA and Math courses will continue to remain aligned to the NC Standard Course of Study, this curriculum adoption will enable students to receive consistent instructional practices, linked to a plethora of aligned resources.
